Tom Price, a retired journalist, has lived near the bottom lock since 1972. He was one of the founders of the Whilton and Buckby Locks Tourism Association, which eventually became the WBLA, and once sang a song he composed, "Wonderful Whilton Locks," on local BBC radio.
