The Pub is OPEN!!!

WBLA is pleased to report the reopening on Sunday the 5th May 2013 of the local canal side pub, the New Inn, at Long Buckby Wharf in Northamptonshire where the A5 crosses the Grand Union Canal.

The regular beer and real ale is Pedigree and Hobgoblin with additional guest beers and cider, currently including Cumberland and English Pale Ale. Food is also available.

One of the original inns on the Grand Union canal, this is the last remaining canal-side pub in the Long Buckby area. The location of the New Inn is ideal and of course is an attraction for tow path walkers, cyclists and of course boaters as there are attractive adjacent moorings – they could do far worse. Decent beer and food from local and regional sources; great value menu; and friendly staff, make this one to seek out in the area. The view of the adjacent canal and top lock is worth the trip alone on a sunny day.

The new landlords are Clive and Dave who are currently refurbishing the premises.

WBLA wish them every success.
