WBLA Visit Cotton End Park

These photos show some WBLA members being shown round Cotton End Park, an eleven acre green space on the outskirts of Long Buckby, by Nick Roberts the Head Ranger who leads a group of volunteers that has introduced a number of elements to the park.

The park includes an information centre built of thatch, stone and cob walls, a bird hide, a wildlife wetland area which has three ponds, an orchard of many native and local fruit varieties and a spinney of native trees and bushes. There is also a small flock of sheep plus accommodation, an assault course suitable for younger teenagers and two picnic areas with space for barbecues as well as a wide mown area used for various events and activities.
